With breathtaking views overlooking the quaint old village of Windwardside, uniquely themed rooms with a personal level of service that is hard to beat. There’s little else you’ll resort to, to enjoy your Saban vacation.
This Saba Hotel is located in a great spot, far enough away from it all to enjoy only the slight breath of the breeze easily punctuated by the sounds of nature… Close enough to all the bars, restaurants, trails and dive shops which are all a ten minute downhill stroll.
As one of the island’s hotels, Selera Dunia is expanding to cater for the needs of guests from all over the world. Offering very reasonable priced rooms, guaranteed tranquility and a great breakfast. Once you’ve stayed here you’ll be itching to book your next vacation on the Unspoiled Queen and you’ll be in no doubt where you wish to stay.
In 2008 Hemmie van Xanten moved back to the beautiful island of Saba to start Selera Dunia and in 2012 it was opened. Selera Dunia stands the for the Malay word of “Taste of the world” and is supposed to reflect the cultures and themes of various places around the world. Saba, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Morocco, Africa, China, Japan and Indonesia are places that have a connection with the person behind Selera Dunia. Each room has been designed to one of these eight cultures and has been decorated with antique and authentic furniture.
Since January 2012, we Jenny and Hemmie van Xanten, welcome guests at our place. We both feel that a personal approach will contribute to a pleasant stay at Selera Dunia Boutique Hotel. While Jenny is in charge for the Breakfast service, served with a smile in your room, Hemmie is maintaining the gardens and fish ponds.
Together we have served guests from all over the world and we consider it a priviledge to meet so many people and hear their stories.
WE hope to welcome you one day at our special place.
